The Boont Tribe Community School welcomes all children regardless of race, creed or national origin. Our multi-age groups provide unique learning opportunities for children ages four and a half through fourteen years. Our emphasis is on child-centered learning, while connecting with nature, by having the opportunity to explore a variety of activities. Experiences are planned to enable children to grow emotionally, socially, intellectually, physically and spiritually.
There is an annual registration fee of $5.00 that must accompany the registration form. Families with more than one child in the program will pay only one registration fee. All enrollment forms (including a physician’s report) must be completed and on file before a child can be enrolled.
The registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. This will ensure placement. Payment is due by the 14th of the next month, two weeks after the invoice has been handed out.
A school calendar is issued at the beginning of each school year listing holidays and other days that the school will be closed.
Alternative Education Classes 9-2:30: $55 per day
Alternative Education Classes 2:30-5: $15 per day
Alternative Education Classes 9-5: $65 per day
Tutoring-Individual: $20 per hour
Tutoring-2 students: $10 per hour per student
Tutoring-more than 2 students: $7 per hour per student
Summer Camp: $175 per week
An invoice will be given to each family at the end of each month. Families have 14 days from the receipt of the invoice to pay the balance. 24 hours notice of an absence is required. Families will be charged 50% of the cost of the missed day without it. It would be courteous to inform the director at least 2 weeks in advance of a vacation of two weeks or more, otherwise the parents will be responsible for 10% a day for each class missed.
All programs end promptly at the prescribed time. Children must be picked up by these times or a late fee will be charged. There is an additional late charge of $5 if pick up is more than 15 minutes beyond the scheduled time.
The school reserves the right to dismiss a child from attendance for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, health, lack of adjustment to the community school setting, behavior that disrupts the cooperative climate of the classroom or delinquency of the tuition account.
